ANONYMOUS SPONSOR SUBSIDIZES IPO GLOBAL PINEAPPLE CONFERENCE (Tampa Bay) Registration Fee

A major gift to the International Pineapple Organization (IPO) by a Sponsor wishing to remain anonymous has allowed the IPO to pass along savings to the Global Pineapple Community.

The sponsor paid down the $350.00 registration fee on the 100 tickets outstanding for the IPO Global Pineapple Conference (Tampa Bay) by $100.00 usd making for a $10,000.00 usd. pledge to the IPO.

The anonymous donor was quoted as saying "The important effort that the International Pineapple Organization (IPO) is making and the service provided needs this important jump start".

The meeting in Tampa, Florida on the 19th and 20th of March 2014 will bring together major stakeholders from the Pineapple Supply Chain.

Among the topics to be addressed , will be a special presentation by Patricia A. Petrella, Marketing Specialist, Promotion and Economics Division, Fruit and Vegetable Program on the potential creation of a Pineapple Research and Promotion Board.

IPO Executive Director, Will Cavan was quoted as saying that the substantial contribution allows the IPO to pass along a substantial saving to Pineapple Industry members.

"We have chosen to share this Bonanza with the Pineapple Industry. The IPO is very grateful for the support that we receive from the Pineapple Industry members and this is one way that we can show our appreciation".

The anonymous donor desired that "the funds be used to help keep the momentum going in organizing the Pineapple Industry".

"This cause should remain anonymous because this is not about any individual, rather the group effort should be recognized" The anonymous donor was quoted as saying.
